FOR PEOPLE TEAMS, CLUBS AND PERFORMANCE GROUPS

Team endurance without the training mythology.

The best performance programmes balance commitment with intelligent progression. We are exploring professionally supervised resilience and conditioning experiences for adult teams, distinct from the Royal Marines' official joining process.

THE DISTINCTION

Royal Marines training is delivered by the Armed Forces. No independent civilian session confers a qualification, entry advantage or military affiliation.

The buyer and the problem

Who is this designed around?

A useful brief states whether this is an employer wellbeing cohort, adult performance group or candidate-support network, plus the approximate group size and preferred format.

01

Employers with active wellbeing programmes

For teams seeking an engaging, inclusive format around sustainable training habits, fatigue management and practical cooperation, not forced hardship.

02

Adult endurance and adventure clubs

For organised groups that want an evidence-led preparation block and sensible benchmarks before undertaking their own demanding civilian event.

03

Networks sponsoring aspiring Marines

For groups helping adult candidates organise their preparation around official guidance, swimming confidence and realistic training progression.

What a commissioned programme could contain

Three distinct ways to work on the problem.

These are scope examples for a proposal, not a currently staffed, priced or bookable course.

01 / PROPOSED MODULE

The sustainable performance block

A proposed multi-week, individually scaled foundation in aerobic consistency, general strength and recovery. A qualified coach would adapt activity to each participant's starting point.

Takeaway: an agreed personal progression framework, not a generic military workout.

02 / PROPOSED MODULE

Water confidence and safety

Subject to appropriate pool facilities, safeguarding and competent swim instruction, a supervised education session could explore breathing, technique and confidence in the water.

Takeaway: sensible next steps within a supervised civilian setting.

03 / PROPOSED MODULE

Team challenge and recovery debrief

A controlled, accessible civilian team task followed by discussion of pacing, role clarity, decision-making when tired and the relationship between effort and recovery.

Takeaway: a practical team agreement about sustainable performance.

OPEN THE METHOD / ORIGINAL EXAMPLE

An adult team endurance brief that respects different starting points

A group can develop better performance habits without pretending to experience Royal Marines training. This illustrative commissioning brief puts competent supervision and choice ahead of a dramatic photograph.

FICTIONAL CASE — NOT A CLIENT RESULT

The situation

A fictional UK employer has 18 adult volunteers interested in a six-week wellbeing project. Some enjoy endurance sport; others are returning to regular activity. The sponsor wants stronger mutual support and consistency, not a ranking of employees by running speed.

What the team knows

  • Employees should be free to participate or choose a suitable alternative.
  • Private health information belongs with appropriately qualified professionals, not an ordinary manager.
  • There is no confirmed swimming venue or qualified instructor for aquatic work.
THE DECISION RECORD

Three defensible options to test

  1. Option A: one large high-intensity challenge. It is easy to advertise but may exclude people and undermine the learning objective.
  2. Option B: a series of supervised, appropriately adapted activities with recovery education and optional group reflection.
  3. Option C: a workshop-only introduction focused on workload, fatigue and cooperation until the actual group and facilities are known.

How a facilitator might debrief it

The responsibly scoped option would probably start with consultation and varied participation routes. A buyer should ask how every participant can meaningfully contribute, what stopping criteria apply and how any changes in capability are handled without embarrassment.

NOT A SLICK DEMO — A USEFUL OUTPUT

What a commissioned pilot should leave behind

  • A written safety and access brief developed by appropriately qualified staff.
  • A participant-choice plan, realistic schedule and coaching responsibilities.
  • A post-session discussion about cooperation and sustainable habits rather than military-style grades.

BEFORE ANY QUOTATION

What must be established

Ask who will supervise physical activity, how swimming would be separately managed and whether an employer wants a one-day event or a longer participation programme. Delivery, dates and charges remain unconfirmed.

Not the right fit: Not suitable for anyone seeking an official Commando Candidate Preparation Course, unsupervised open-water challenges or military selection equivalence.

ORIGINAL COMMISSIONER DOSSIER / FICTIONAL EXAMPLE

A safe civilian endurance-learning pilot

A fictional adult team of 16 needs clearer communication under normal workplace pressure. A credible workshop would build voluntary inclusion and civil decision-making rather than imitate Commando recruitment.

WHAT A CREDIBLE WRITTEN DELIVERABLE MIGHT CONTAIN

01

Team working agreement

Participants establish an ordinary information and escalation protocol.

02

Civilian exercise record

A work handover scenario with clear observer notes.

03

Follow-through habit

A repeatable weekly communication check, not a physical selection score.

How the buyer could judge value: Assess whether follow-up handovers are more complete in a second civilian scenario.

Commercial boundary: No military affiliation, unsafe endurance challenge or paid programme is claimed; safety oversight and qualified delivery must be verified.

Prepare an organisational commissioning enquiry ↗

START WITH A USEFUL BRIEF

What would you actually commission?

Select the proposed civilian learning problem and group size. The next page prepares a conditional enquiry—not a booking or price quote.

Only the selected non-sensitive categories pass to the next page in the URL. No enquiry is sent or saved at this stage. Official joining rules always take priority, and paid enrolment is not open.

Who is behind the research?

Fitness experience is not the same as a Royal Marines appointment.

Read the published profiles instead of relying on unsupported badges or invented testimonials.

The network's published biographies describe endurance experience, Army Reserve preparation and Scott Henderson's British Army career. They do not establish that either founder served as a Royal Marines physical-training instructor or currently delivers an official Commando preparation course.

Pool sessions, coaching and group challenges would require specifically qualified and insured delivery partners, together with appropriate safety and safeguarding procedures.

Independent civilian concepts · No military endorsement · Instructor verification required before delivery

A responsible commissioning process

Scope first. Claims last.

Premium delivery means a named outcome, suitable people and a useful debrief. It does not mean claiming military credentials we have not verified.

Share an outline brief ↗
  1. 01

    Screen the group's requirements

Understand age, activity history, accessibility, facility needs and what participants should learn; do not collect medical records through the website.

  2. 02

    Confirm qualified supervision

A deliverable programme depends on insured coaches, suitable facilities and appropriate safety procedures, especially near water.

  3. 03

    Agree useful measures

Use engagement, education and progression feedback rather than invented military pass scores or a staged deprivation challenge.

Current availability and independence

Express interest, not enrolment.

These are proposed civilian services, not launched Royal Marines courses. No training venue, insurance, instructor, price or availability is implied. We do not recreate selection, use Royal Marines credentials without verification or promise recruitment outcomes.
