The buyer's problem is not a military course
Some employers want teams to experience challenge together. The problem is that spectacle can overshadow learning or exclude employees who are less physically able. A responsible civilian programme should begin with the sponsor's actual objective: better communication, sustainable personal activity or a shared project that employees can choose to join.
A progression-based option
One possible format is a series of coached sessions with different starting points, combining general movement education, strength literacy, safe endurance and reflective conversations about working together. The content would need qualified staff, an inclusive design and appropriate insurance; a military aesthetic alone does not deliver a credible wellbeing result.
Consent, access and safety first
Participation should be voluntary and reasonable adaptations considered. Employers should avoid using physical performance as a proxy for workplace competence. Health histories should not be solicited through an ordinary marketing form. Any professional screening and data handling must be designed with the eventual delivery team.
What a commissioning brief should contain
Useful information includes cohort size, typical working patterns, intended level of physical activity, facilities, supervision expectations and the proposed budget. Agree how participants can decline an activity and what the sponsor will actually learn. A polished obstacle photograph is not evidence of safe delivery.
Current commercial status
This website is exploring a concept, not selling an available Royal Marines event, qualification or endorsed course. Instructor identities, venue suitability, pricing and specific insurance would be verified before any proposal could become a booking.
A commissioning question
Ask the buyer: is the objective wellbeing participation, a sports-club training block or improved teamwork? Different answers require different venues, staff and definitions of success.
