Confirm the actual appointment
Check the instructions you received directly from your recruiting staff: date, travel, required paperwork, kit, identification and any health processes. The official Royal Navy pages give an overview, but individual joining instructions are the practical source of truth. Remember that the public joining and CPC pages currently describe different durations.
Do not improvise a new fitness plan
A late surge in running, strength or swimming volume is unlikely to fix months of missed preparation. It may create a recovery problem. Continue with appropriately supervised, familiar training and ask your own coach or medical professional about concerns. This page is not a prescription for the final week.
Practise logistics calmly
Know your transport options, reasonable contingency time and who to contact if something changes. Keep the relevant details together. Avoid posting documents or identifying personal information to a public discussion group in search of reassurance.
Make room for ordinary recovery
Consistent sleep, nutrition and time management are easier to overlook than headline workouts. Approach the event as an assessed stage in a longer process. The Royal Navy determines what can be undertaken and whether a candidate passes.
A useful final question
If the invitation contradicts a public webpage, ask the recruiting team which instruction applies to you. Do not assume that a provider's sales material is a more accurate authority.
An exercise to make this useful
Write down five verified logistics facts and three questions requiring official confirmation. If a question cannot be answered from your own correspondence, take it to the recruiting staff rather than a private course seller.
